Maki

Maki originally studied Conservation Biology and spent time in the USA as a Field Biologist studying seabirds in their natural habitats. She combines her experiences of living in different countries into her designs, from her native Japan to the USA and France, as well as blending art and science through her work.

She loves to grow her own vegetables as much as possible and has many interests. These range from cooking, wine tasting, learning languages and new cultures as well as playing instruments. Her philosophy came from her grandmother – ‘Never stop learning until you die’.
